USITO Call for Comments: MEE Released Administrative Regulations on the Recycle and Treatment of Waste Electrical and Electronic Products (Amended Draft for Comments)
On Oct 27, the Ministry of Ecology and Environment (MEE) released the Administrative Regulations on the Recycle and Treatment of Waste Electrical and Electronic Products (Amended Draft for Comments) for public comments, with a deadline set for November 25, 2026. The original Regulations were promulgated in 2009 as State Council Decree No. 551 and took effect on January 1, 2011. A decade later, the Regulations once amended in March 2019, which remains the version currently in force. This latest amendment aims to align it with the Ecological Environment Code of the People’s Republic of China, which entered into force earlier this year.
