MPS Released Measures for Cyberspace Security Supervision and Inspection by Public Security Departments
On Aug 7, MPS released the finalized Measures for Cyberspace Security Supervision and Inspection by Public Security Departments. The Measures will take effect on October 1, 2026, and repeal the Provisions on Public Security Organs’ Supervision and Inspection of Internet Security. They apply to a broad range of entities, including network operators, data and personal information handlers, CII operators, and network product and service providers. Public security departments may conduct online, remote, and on-site inspections, including vulnerability detection and penetration testing where applicable.
