On June 30th, CAC released Provisions on Standard Contract for Personal Information Cross Border Transfer (Draft for Comment) with a deadline of July 29th. Article 38 of the PIPL provides three mechanisms to send personal information offshore: CAC’s security assessment, security certification, and standard contract.
