SAIC Campaign to Trace Trademark Infringement

The State Administration of Industry and Commerce (SAIC) issued a noticeon October 17 on launching a special action plan on tracing trademark infringement. The notice includes a timeline detailing various actions to be taken from September to December of this year as well as summary and reporting in January-February 2018.
 
The first step involves county and municipal administrations of industry and commerce AIC) collecting evidence for potential trademark infringement cases through visits, conferences, seminars, and by communicating with enterprises. Each province is required to submit at least five potential cases. By the end of the year the General Administration of the Trademark Office, provincial AICs, and market supervision departments should carry out special operations to investigate the cases in a timely manner including follow-on tracking and supervision.
