MIIT Publishes 12th Five Year Plan for Development of Integrated Circuits

On December 5, 2011, the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology (MIIT) published the 12th Five Year Plan for the Development of the Integrated Circuits Industry (semiconductors). According to the Plan's introduction, it aims to implement at least two other key policies, mainly MIIT's Industrial Transformation and Improvement Plan (2011 - 2015) and MIIT's 12th Five Year Plan for Electronics and IT Products. China Semiconductor Industry Association (CSIA) posted the plan on its website on February 6, 2011. As a side note, this is the second time one of MIIT's industry-specific 12th Five Year Plans has been published by secondary sources, not officially released by the ministry itself.
