On May 13, 2009, TechAmerica, USITO and SEMI jointly hosted a successful event focused on Customs and Export Controls. The event attracted over 60 representatives from the three organizations and was featured with informative speeches and heated discussions.

The event featured three expert speakers including:

1. Jeanette Chu, Export Control Attaché in US Embassy Beijing;

2. John Larkin, the founder of Larkin Trade Associates and,

3. Chris Szymanski, the Senior and Export Compliance (ICP) Administrator of Semiconductor Manufacturing International Corporation (SMIC).

The speakers shared their knowledge on the Validated End User (VEU) program and enforcement; the U.S. export licensing for companies in China, as well as industry perspectives on export controls.For more information, please contact USITO.
