USITO/AmCham Joint Event on Cybersecurity: Current Issues and the Path Forward - May 21st

Please join AmCham China and USITO for a discussion with Yuejin Du, Ph.D., Director of the National Engineering Laboratory of Cybersecurity Emergency Response Technology (NELCERT) and Director of the National Institute of Network and Information Security, and Dr. Ernest McDuffie, Lead for the US Department of Commerce’s National Initiative for Cybersecurity Education (NICE), on cybersecurity issues facing both China and the US on May 21st.  The discussion will include bilateral points of tension and a possible roadmap for resolving these issues.

Dr. Du will begin the event by presenting on the current global deficit of trust on cybersecurity, then elaborating on its root causes, successful cases of international cooperation and options for future cooperation. Dr. McDuffie will then speak on the National Initiative for Cybersecurity Education and how it is promoting awareness of cybersecurity, expanding the number of cybersecurity workers, and constructing a globally competitive workforce.
