Dr. Pepper will brief members on Cisco's Visual Networking Index (VNI), which is the company's ongoing effort to forecast and analyze the growth and use of IP networks worldwide. The VNI, which is quoted widely in international media, looks at how new trends such as mobile 4G and video will drive and shape the future of the internet.

Specifically, Dr. Pepper will discuss how demand for data in China is forecast to grow by six times between 2011 and 2016, significantly exceeding the global growth of four time according to Cisco's latest annual forecast. The presentation and discussion will focus on the data demand forecast for China, including types of applications driving the increasing demand, as well as comparisons with other countries.
