How to Use Your Data Properly: Data Sharing Frameworks Under US & China Law

Almost every company today has a web presence, and in the course of engaging in Internet activities and e-commerce, many companies are in possession of large amounts of consumer personal data. Data sharing has become an increasing concern with regard to its proper usage.

AmCham China’s Information & Communication Technology (ICT) Forum and the US Information Technology Office (USITO) co-host this informative session featuring Katherine Spelman, partner of K&L Gates LLP Seattle office. She will discuss what you can do with the data that you have acquired under US law. With whom can you share that data? What are the applicable statutes and issues that come up with acquiring, sharing, scraping and otherwise reissuing the data that your company may find in the US?
