George Bai

Research Director
George joined USITO in May 2011 as Research Director, responsible for directing USITO's policy research and serving as chief liaison with technical standards groups, academic institutions and think-tanks in China. Prior to joining USITO, George worked as regulatory compliance manager at Dell China where he gained extensive experience in high-tech policy work. He has been active in China's technical standards working groups and technical committees, both as a participating and voting member, covering such diverse areas as electronic product certification, electromagnetic compatibility limits, energy efficiency, network access licensing (NAL) and wireless requirements. George has been an active member of the USITO community for many years, and has co-chaired the USITO Standards & Conformity Working Group since 2009. Prior to Dell, George worked for Bell Labs in China. He holds a master's degree in electrical engineering from the Microelectronics Institute of the Chinese Academy of Science, and a bachelor's degree in electrical engineering from Tsinghua University.
