Ken Montgomery

Ken Montgomery is the Vice President of International Trade Regulation for TechAmerica (formerly AeA), the largest U.S. high-tech trade association, which represents 1,200 U.S.-based technology companies. Based in Washington, DC, he acts as lead regulatory and policy analyst for trade regulation issues, focusing on customs and export controls. He also represents TechAmerica on the Executive Committee of the Board of Directors of the United States Information Technology Office in Beijing, China.
Mr. Montgomery has represented member company issues and priorities at the World Customs Organization in Brussels and World Trade Organization in Geneva. He also organizes and facilitates best practices in trade compliance seminars throughout the U.S. and China.
Prior to joining TechAmerica, he held management positions in global trade compliance and logistics with Urusan Consulting (on-site at Hewlett-Packard), Amdahl Corporation, Watkins-Johnson and IBM.
Mr. Montgomery is a Licensed U.S. Customs Broker. He received his bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering from Purdue University and an MBA in International Business from Golden Gate University. Mr. Montgomery has been a member of the adjunct faculty at American InterContinental University and is currently studying Customs Law and Administration at the University of Canberra, Australia.
